SWAMP ART SPECTACULAR
Join us for our 5th Annual Swamp Art Spectacular, featuring work from local artists in the fields of Fabric Arts, Fine Arts
and Photography – focusing on the theme “Impressions of Louisiana Nature.” Come visit during the exhibition and vote on your favorite piece in both the youth and adult categories – winners will receive a prize at the end of the show!

IPT BLACK HISTORY CELEBRATION
This extraordinary event promises to be a celebration of African American culture, heritage, and achievement like
no other. Independence Park Theatre will come alive with a dazzling array of talents that feature performances that span the spectrum of art and theatre – from soul-stirring gospel choirs to electrifying dance ensembles, to thought-provoking spoken word poetry and gripping historical reenactments. You and your family won’t want to miss out on this Black History Celebration!

TEA FOR TWO
This specialized class is designed for a grown up and tween or teen. The pair will spend the morning creating tea-cup prints using bottled ink and calligraphy pens. This unique class is a great way to spend time with the tween or teen in your life
by being creative! Tea, lemonade, cookies and crumpets will be served!

2ND ANNUAL ARTS FEST @ BARINGER
This family fun fest will be held at BREC’s Baringer Art Center. Join BREC Art for a morning of cool art demos, projects for young artists, puppy sketching, BREC on the Geaux, music, art vendors, installations and much more! Meet our staff, tour the Baringer Art Center, make friends with an artist and fill your morning with creative ideas, great art and a few surprises!
