IMAGINATION ART
Participants in the community will create arts and crafts projects after receiving inspiration from reading and/or hearing an illustrated story from a book, movie, poster or other medium.

CRAFT CORNER AT THE SWAMP
Looking to express yourself through some nature-themed crafts while enjoying the sights and sounds of the Swamp? Join us quarterly as we host Craft Corner and provide a variety of fun and interactive crafts for you to complete with us or take home to work on at your leisure. This program is included with your general admission.

SATURDAY MORNING STUDIO
Saturday Morning Studio is TRAVELLING AROUND THE WORLD! Each month BREC Art will “travel” to a different country to experience history, art, (and snacks!) of a culture different from ours. Join us each month for tips, treats, and creative expression as we pack our art bags and see the world!
MILTON J. WOMACK PARK
Sept. 11: Maneki-neko (Beckoning Cat)! Meneki-neko is beckoning our students to Japan! We will explore the history of this iconic figurine and create our own unique kitty using mixed media.
Oct. 9: The Colors of Kenti
Students will visit the West African country of Ghana and learn about the colors and meanings of the Kente cloth through history and paper weaving. Once worn by royalty, it is now worn by all!
Nov. 13: Rainy Day in London Town
Students will see beautiful London architecture and create a mixed media rainy day city landscape. Cheerio!

LITTLE PICASSO’S
An introduction to the fun aspects of art. Young artists will experience their first encounters with art – using paint, oil pastels, watercolor and mixed media.
