INCLUSIVE BASKETBALL
FOREST COMMUNITY PARK Skills Day: Sept. 18

SUNSHINE CLUB
This program offers recreational opportunities as a learning tool for daily living activities for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This program bridges the gap between high school and the life after for our participants. We will learn how to become a part of their community, engaging in meaningful daily activities while learning new skills. The participants will have opportunities to take daily trips to volunteer sites and actively engage in activities in the community.
All participants must complete an assessment before registering. To register or set up an appointment for an assessment, please contact molly.orr@brec.org starting July 12.

SUNSHINE INTERACTIVE DAYS
Calling all participants with intellectual and developmental disabilities, ages 16 and older, to join us for a variety of recreational experiences in your parks each day of the week. There are no fees associated with these programs but encourage pre-registration due to changes in the schedule that will occur.

trails or exercise to increase our overall health.

Arts & Crafts Thursday
Participants will learn the fundamental skills of creative art using different mediums and design techniques. The season will conclude in December with an Art Show, location TBA.

FAMILY COOKING NIGHTS
You can join this 5-week program from your kitchen at home, virtually or in-person to learn step by step how to cook meals together with your family (expect to spend about $15/week in ingredients).

HEARTS & HOOVES
THERAPEUTIC RIDING PROGRAM
Riders aged 6 and up with physical, mental, and social disabilities participate in a six-week session of riding lessons tailored to their needs. Riders enjoy a one-hour class on horseback learning stretching exercises, basic equitation and games. Horseback riding is known to improve core strength and co-ordination and provide a unique social opportunity with peers. Maximum class sizes of 10 riders, with 2 instructors and up to 3 volunteer assistants per rider.
