BREC needs volunteers to fulfill our mission of providing park and recreational opportunities for all residents of East Baton Rouge Parish. With a range of facilities and programs, BREC has a volunteer opportunity for everyone.
Benefits: Volunteers who contribute 30 or more hours in a calendar year and complete mandatory BREC volunteer training are eligible for a $500 Louisiana state tax deduction and a chance to win various prizes.
Screening Process: In keeping with our intent to provide the best possible services, we undergo a thorough volunteer process. As a result, we require volunteers to fill out an opportunity form and consent to a background check.
