 CONSERVATION WOODS WALK SERIES
Satisfy your curiosity about the trees you see at BREC
Parks and your wonder about the animals that call BREC Conservation Areas home. Join a BREC Naturalist for our Woods Walk Hiking Series and pick their brain about a broad range of topics. Each hike in the series will dive into different topics connected to these unique sites in East Baton Rouge Parish. Come to one or multiple hikes in the series to indulge in the great outdoors. Preregistration is required and an adult must accompany all children.

NATURE PIONEERS
Bring your curious little ones and join Conservation staff to start them down the path of nature exploration. Your Nature Pioneer can come explore with us at Palomino Drive Park and enjoy short hikes, games, storytelling and arts and crafts! Each program will explore a different theme through indoor and outdoor investigation and exploration. Children must be registered and accompanied by an adult.

FRIDAY NIGHT LECTURE SERIES
For almost twenty-five years this program has given patrons histories and possible futures. Skygazing tips, physics phenomena, space programs and famous events are covered.

STEM EXPANSION
This brand-new adolescent program increases the knowledge base of those young people interested in further astronomy- ground STEM challenges. Advanced demonstrations and
topic extensions are created to educate students ages 12-16 through a wide array of astronomy topics. Certificates can be earned, and a section of archived experiments (some not seen in over fifteen years) take place.
