 Opportunities listed below are for all ages and no fees are associated unless otherwise noted. Please see the table of contents for more information if special accommodations are needed.
Camps
COMMUNITY RECREATION HOLIDAY CAMPS
BREC offers holiday camps, which are perfect for school vacations, filled with friends and fun activities. There will be two holiday camps, including Fall Break and Winter Break, to follow school schedules (School Schedules to be followed are City of Baker, City of Central, East Baton Rouge Parish Schools and City of Zachary). These camps offer a fun-filled variety of holiday themed recreational curriculum to include arts and crafts, guest speakers, passive and active games, socialization with peers and much more. Must have 15 campers registered three weeks from start date. BREC is following all local, state and national guidelines for the current pandemic phase.

WINTER HOLIDAY ART CAMP
Campers will create “cool,” holiday inspired art projects in an atmosphere of fun and encouragement. Media includes paint, clay, watercolor, pastels and mixed media.
MILTON J. WOMACK PARK
Dec. 20-22 / 8 a.m.-5 p.m. / Ages: 7-10 $96 for East Baton Rouge Parish residents $115.20 for out-of-parish residents

SPACE EXPLORATION CAMPS
Campers review highlights of American space program via interactive demos and games. Each session has a theme (to be chosen). The core activity is the construction and launching of two model rockets.
HIGHLAND ROAD PARK OBSERVATORY

ATHLETICS HOLIDAY CAMPS
In partnership with The Doug Williams Foundation
BREC Holiday Sports Camp will teach new drills and techniques that will help you dominate on the court and field during this holiday season! Campers will go through various stations, competitions and focus on various sports like baseball, football, and soccer, that will help improve their overall game as well as individual abilities in various sports.
