Adult Art Programs
BREC’s Baringer Art Center is offering art workshops for adults who prefer a one-time class as opposed to the number of weeks committed for an ongoing class. All supplies provided.
MUDDY BUDDIES: WHEEL THROWING
This class will allow participants to use a potter's wheel
to learn how to make basic shapes used in all pottery: the cylinder and the bowl. With these two shapes, participants will then create, and design mugs and bowls limited only by their imagination! This class will also explore trimming and glazing. Please register as adult only online.

This class will explore the fun of hand building art and practical design by building on basic shapes and learning how to “slip and score” and glaze. Please register as adult only online.

ART UNWINED
Tired of the same ol’ paint and drink?! If so, then check out BREC’s adult-only, fun and creative grown-up creative time outs. Each of these classes are designed to encourage and inspire while enjoying beverages and nibbles. All art supplies, nibbles and adult (or not) beverages included. Great for friend get-togethers, bridal parties, corporate team building or just making new friends! Private ART UnWINEd bookings are also available.

March 8: Mud for Two!
Grab your partner, your BFF, your parent, sibling, cousin, uncle, granny...and join us for a night of muddy fun! During this Art UnWined, duos will take turns learning wheel basics and then glazing a bisque piece of their choice – a mug, plate, vase, or small creature! Wine, beer, and nibbles will be provided. Please register as adult only online.
6:30- 8:30 p.m. / Ages: 21+ / $40 per person
BARINGER ART CENTER
April 26: Costumed Figure Drawing
For this Art UnWined participants will sketch and draw a live, clothed, model. The model will pose for one minute gesture drawings, followed by longer poses of 25 minutes. Participants should bring their own drawing materials and sketch pad or paper. Anything goes! Graphite, charcoal, paints or mixed media materials are all welcome in this “artist’s choice” class. Participants will have the freedom to explore and create on their own. There will be a timekeeper for the poses, but the evening is self-guided. Wine, Champagne, and nibbles will be provided. Please register as adult only online.
