ZOO RUN RUN
Run like a cheetah to our annual Zoo Run Run 2-Mile Race and 1⁄2 Mile Kids' Fun Run! At the run, enjoy the scenery as you scamper, trot or gallop your way through BREC's Baton Rouge Zoo. All proceeds from the race support your Baton Rouge Zoo and international cheetah conservation efforts. Register early to be guaranteed a run themed t-shirt.

This is a great opportunity for beginner youth players to experience playing in a tournament. Format is 10-point sets. Free pizza, snacks, and beverages for players.

ENGLISH + WESTERN RIDING LESSONS
Learn how to ride a horse or improve your skills. Farr Park offers riding lessons to students ages 6 and older at all different levels, English or Western, taught by qualified instructors who specialize in their disciplines. Group and private lessons are available.

HEARTS + HOOVES THERAPEUTIC
RIDING PROGRAM
Riders aged 6 and up with physical, mental, and social disabilities participate in a six-week session of riding lessons tailored to their needs. Riders enjoy a one-hour class on horseback learning stretching exercises, basic equitation and games. Horseback riding is known to improve core strength and coordination and provide a unique social opportunity with peers. Maximum class sizes of 8 riders, with 2 instructors and up to 3 volunteer assistants per rider.

FUTSAL
Futsal is an exciting, fast-paced small-sided soccer game that is played across the world. It is a 5 vs 5 small, sided game played on a hard surfaced, basketball sized court with a smaller low bounce ball.

GUIDED TRAIL RIDES
BREC's Farr Park Equestrian center is proud to offer guided trail rides on select Saturdays and Sundays. Enjoy a one-hour gentle ride through the park or in the indoor arena on one of the BREC horses. This fun activity is perfect for families, groups, and friends. Trail rides are by appointment only, and all riders must be at least 9 years old.
